Fun Sports for Kids is a Sports Program that has been designed to coach children from 2.5 to 7years old, in the basic skills needed for more than 12 kinds of sports. The program aims to improve the child’s self-confidence while giving them the skills and fitness necessary to participate in the following in the variety of sports. The sports include hockey, golf, baseball, softball, soccer, track and field, volleyball, tennis, badminton, croquet, parachute games, football, basketball, netball, cricket and gymnastics.

Brisbane Valley Multicultural Festival

The Brisbane Valley Multicultural Festival is a wonderful day full of entertainment and activities for the whole family. The day will begin with the Brisbane Valley Bush Poets at 8.00 a.m., followed by a street parade at 9.30 a.m. An all day Multicultural Concert will be playing, and the festival holds more than 80 arts and craft market stalls. The markets will include international food to keep you energised for the events to come. There will also be Medieval Re-enactments, Heritage Motor Cycles, and Vintage Cars.

The Kamkars Living Fire Tour

The Kamkars are in town and are the largest performing family group in the world. Their music is one of the most active yet accessible ensembles in Middle Eastern music and includes music from Iran with Kurdish and Persian influences. With nine musicians, they are unusual group in that their music consists of adaptations of a few lullabies and also national songs. The children will love the unusual sounds and enjoy this first Australian concert by the Kamkars. The whole family will be entertained by this exclusive concert with its folk music tradition.

Children will enjoy exploring with the rangers at the Brisbane Forest Park. They will get a chance to learn about and come in contact with some interesting Australian animals. The Park has a large variety of native animals; from birds to invertebrates. There are some unique, vulnerable and endangered animals and plants within the park. The whole family will be entertained as well as educated by this nature experience.
