Birthday Boy - great outdoor gifts

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

Well my little man turned 3 today and like most parents I’m wondering where the time went! He’s managed to drag his birthday out since his party on Saturday and is now exhausted… but not exhausted enough to enjoy all his lovely presents. He was a very spoilt boy and luckily had some great presents he can enjoy outdoors. Here’s some of the things he received (great idea’s for presents to be enjoyed outdoors!)

  • A scooter
  • A kite
  • A football
  • A space hopper
  • Bubbles
  • Pavement chalk
  • Old MacDonald had a Farm

    Saturday, February 24th, 2007

We were after something to do one Sunday and took the opportunity to visit City Farm in Western Sydney. After driving through a housing estate wondering if we were really heading in the right direction, we finally came across this little gem on the edge of suburbia and the bush.

With plenty to keep the kids interested, this is definitely a place to check out. Noah loved his ride on the tractor, which was talked about for days after. He stroked the Koala like a well behaved little boy, thankfully not pulling its hair or performing any other act of animal cruelty. We feed the camels, lambs, goats and far too many other animals I can’t remember! It really was a lovely outing. Kids under 3 go free so try and find a voucher for buy-one-get-one-free (there are some out there) and it’ll make quite a cheap day out.

For more about City Farm check out the this page on Little Explorers.

    Beautiful Bronte Beach

    Monday, February 19th, 2007

Sundays are the best for catching up with friends, lazing around and relaxing on the beach. Yesterday we managed to fit in all 3 - a perfect day!

We headed to Bronte Beach, a beach we hadn’t ventured to for a while so it was a lovely change. Check out the write up in the Little Explorers info pages to get all the details.

Our childless friends (hopefully not for long!) happily entertained Noah while we managed to catch a few rays of sunlight and sit on our bums for more than 5 minutes. Thank you! They were also so impressed with our pop-up beach shelter they ordered one the next day!
