Why not get along to Perth Zoo to see the new Sun Bear cub in the holidays! Perth Zoo has just revealed Mali (Mahlee) born 26th March and at just 13 weeks you can catch short glimpses of her at Perth Zoo. The name ‘Mali’ is Cambodian for ‘blossom’ and she is the first Sun Bear to be born in Australia. Pretty Exciting!
The Zoo is open daily from 9 – 5pm and is located at 20 Labouchere Rd South Perth.

Perth Zoo Wild About Animals Holiday Activities
16 – 18th July 2008 9 – 1pm
Hey Kids, are you mad about animals? Always wanted to get up close at the Zoo? You can do the Wild about Animals holiday program. Spend the morning with the friendly zoo keepers and learn about how the RSPCA cares for animals; get close up and take a behind the scenes look at the animals at the zoo and create some superb projects which will encourage natural behaviours from all animals from those at the zoo to your own pets at home!
The program is for kids aged 10 – 14yrs. It costs $47 per person, is fully supervised and includes morning tea. Bargain!

The Fairies – Fairy Friends Forever!

Naidoc Week
6th – 13th July 2008
Feeling Celebratory? Why not get along to one of the many Naidoc week celebrations around Perth. Naidoc Week is from 6th – 13th July 2008 and celebrates the enormous contribution the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities make to Australia.
There are numerous events operating this week from Joondalup to Armadale; at Universities and the State Library of Western Australia. They range from festivals to Art Exhibitions and everything in between. This is a fantastic way to learn about different cultures and to show our respect and gratitude towards a wonderful group of people and to get involved in your local community.

Horizon – Planetarium
Interested in Space? Take the kids to the Horizon Planetarium where they will learn all there is to know in a safe, logical and age appropriate environment.
