Old MacDonald had a Farm

Saturday, February 24th, 2007

We were after something to do one Sunday and took the opportunity to visit City Farm in Western Sydney. After driving through a housing estate wondering if we were really heading in the right direction, we finally came across this little gem on the edge of suburbia and the bush.

With plenty to keep the kids interested, this is definitely a place to check out. Noah loved his ride on the tractor, which was talked about for days after. He stroked the Koala like a well behaved little boy, thankfully not pulling its hair or performing any other act of animal cruelty. We feed the camels, lambs, goats and far too many other animals I can’t remember! It really was a lovely outing. Kids under 3 go free so try and find a voucher for buy-one-get-one-free (there are some out there) and it’ll make quite a cheap day out.

Beautiful Bronte Beach

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Sundays are the best for catching up with friends, lazing around and relaxing on the beach. Yesterday we managed to fit in all 3 - a perfect day!

We headed to Bronte Beach, a beach we hadn’t ventured to for a while so it was a lovely change. Check out the write up in the Little Explorers info pages to get all the details.

Our childless friends (hopefully not for long!) happily entertained Noah while we managed to catch a few rays of sunlight and sit on our bums for more than 5 minutes. Thank you! They were also so impressed with our pop-up beach shelter they ordered one the next day!

Pink Flamingo’s

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

So tacky, but so cool – that’s Pink Flamingos and I love them!

The perfect garden ornament in America during the 1950’s, a very bad film in the 70’s (don’t ever go and see it!) and a resort in Port Douglas (must visit some day…). For just about anything pink flamingo related check out www.flamingomania.com

Pink Flamingo

Check out the Pink Flamingo range of swimwear by 2 Chilies. This is such a cute range and comes as a tankini or all-in-one, so take your pick!

Welcome to the Little Explorers Blog!

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

My little boy doesn’t stop, he’s always on the go…honestly! He stops to go to sleep and that’s about it. People often ask me if he slows down – and my answer is always “not often enoughâ€?. He loves to run around and jabber on about anything. I feel I may do quite a lot of the latter on this blog, but hopefully it will make sense! This love of being active has led me to many wonderful places in search of trying to let him explore (and tire himself out!). He is my ultimate ‘Little Explorer’.
